This season SDAA is organising a series of ten night fishing events at
Broom Lake to give members the opportunity to night fish this venue.
These will be held on five Wednesday nights and five Saturday
nights during July, August and September.
Only ten tickets will be available for each event to be held on
the following dates:
Saturday 23rd July
Wednesday 27th July
Saturday 6th August
Wednesday 24th August
Wednesday 7th September
Saturday 17th September
Saturday 24th September
Wednesday 28th September
These events are limited to members who have obtained a ticket prior to
the event, and are only available by a postal application to the
Registrar. You can
click here to download an application form, or alternatively
send a stamped SAE to:
Tickets cost £10 per night and will be allocated strictly on a
first-come, first-served basis.
If all the tickets have been sold for the dates requested, your
cheque/postal order will be returned.
If you are allocated a ticket, it is not transferable and there
will be no refund if you do not fish.
You cannot apply for another ticket until after the date of any
previous ticket allocated to you.
Junior members cannot apply, but may share a swim with a ticket
holder over the age of 18 who will be responsible for the Junior member
(see below).
Swims that have been designated for night fishing must be vacated by 5pm
on the dates shown above. A
draw will be held at 6pm in the car park for ticket holders, the person
drawing #1 chooses their swim number first, then #2 and so on, with the
bailiff making a list of swim choices.
Anglers can then proceed to their swims and start fishing ASAP.
Any late comers will have to choose from pegs that are left.
Only swims designated for night fishing can be fished overnight.
Only members with a valid Broom Lake Night Ticket are allowed on the
lake during the times that define night fishing (i.e. no guests or
visitors). However, a
ticket holder over the age of 18 will be allowed to take a Junior member
(provided they both fish from the same swim) at no extra cost.
For safety reasons, there must be no driving around the lake
during the hours designated as night fishing.
If the track around the lake is closed, vehicles must be left in
car park.
Notices will be posted at Broom Lake before the event to identify the
swims that have been identified for night fishing and to remind members
that these designated swims must be vacated by 5pm on the above dates.
